Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify the level of awareness and interest in health care and oral health care projects according to gender, age, academic background and economic level and provide basic data for promotion of health and oral health care projects in C areas in the future.
Methods: The general 260 citizens were selected using a simple random sampling method and surveyed by questionnaire method. The questionnaire consisted of health business, health business interest, oral health business, and oral health business. The average is 5 points highest and 1 point is lowest. The data collected were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 for study purposes and the following statistical analyses were made on the basis of the significance level of 0.05. The statistical methods used are mean comparison, one-way ANOVA.
Results: Health service of interest and oral health care project interest in a comparative analysis of health care project interest was 2.57, oral health care business interest was 2.39. Health activity and statistically significant higher interest than oral health care business interest. Except for the level of interest in health and oral health care, the results were not statistically significant. The results of the study show that the level of interest in oral health is lower than that of health care.
Conclusion: It is believed that in order to protect the oral health of the residents, oral health services will need to be promoted in various forms. Especially the role of dental hygienists, who are responsible for oral health, will be paramount and will need to provide continuous oral health education to the residents.
